This rum is named and crafted in honor of Dr. Johann Siegart's founding of Angostura house in the city of Angostura, Venezuela in 1824. Rhum Agricole. The fresh sugar cane aroma is high-lighted with a white oak tone which carries through the citrus and fruit body to the rich tannins in the finish. Rhum Agricole. Clairins are the funky, voodoo-infused cousins of agricoles but Vaval is the young and most reckless one. Nose reveals a yeast strain reminiscent of lambic beers, restrained rubber and cottonsedge. Palate with aniseed and citrus, esters and grass notes.
